Seven Champion nationsWCL Teams 2026 — Squads, Players & Team Guides
Every team in the World Championship of Legends 2026 — full squads, last season’s numbers, owners and fixtures. Season 3 runs from 3 to 18 October 2026 and expands to seven sides with the arrival of Bangladesh Champions.
The World Championship of Legends is a retired-professionals T20 competition. Each side is drawn from one nation’s former internationals, which is why the tournament reads like a set of reunion XIs: Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan for India, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik for Pakistan, AB de Villiers and Jacques Kallis for South Africa, Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo for the West Indies.
Two editions have been played, both in England. India Champions won the first in 2024; South Africa Champions won the second in 2025. Season 3 adds Bangladesh Champions as the seventh franchise, and the organisers have said the tournament will move away from the United Kingdom.
The format shapes team selection more than most T20 leagues do. Every bowler is capped at two overs per match and the powerplay is only five overs, so a side needs six or seven credible bowlers rather than four specialists — which is why all-rounders such as Dwayne Bravo, Dan Christian and Mahmudullah Riyad carry more value here than their reputations alone suggest.
