AnalysisPakistan Champions strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- The only unbeaten league record in 2025. Four wins and no defeats from five matches, at a net run rate of +2.452.
- Left-arm pace that still bites. Wahab Riaz took 9 wickets and Sohail Tanvir 8, and both were among the leading wicket-takers in 2024 as well.
- Explosive openers. Sharjeel Khan and Kamran Akmal can end a powerplay inside five overs — Akmal’s 113 against the West Indies was the fastest route to a big total all season.
Weaknesses
- Two finals, two defeats. Pakistan have reached the final in both editions and lost both — to India in 2024 and South Africa in 2025.
- The final collapse pattern. Defending 195 in the 2025 final, the attack conceded 197 inside 17 overs for the loss of a single wicket.
